Sports Medicine Australia are keen to work closely with the football community in Tasmania to provide assistance in understanding medical and sports injury procedures. To kick things off, Sports Medicine Australia will offer and conduct a First Responders Course in Launceston. The purpose of this course is to provide basic information and skills around the assessment and treatment of players; particularly when they are first injured on the pitch. This is not a first aid course but rather it deals with ensuring that the initial actions following an injury are appropriate and in the best interests of the player.

The course will be on Monday, 24 August 2015 at Churchill Park commencing at 6.30pm. The cost is $25 per person.

If you would like to attend please email reception@footballfedtas.com.au by close of business on Monday, 17 August 2015.
